:: Selection of Titles/Book Lists ::
1. There will be 30 books on each list for 4-6 or 6-8 grades and 25 books for 9-12 grades.
2. 50% on, 25% above, 25% below grade level of participants.
3. Interest levels should cover a broad range of topics, writing style, settings, and may include some non-fiction titles as well as fiction.
4. Naturally, availability is crucial, an out-of-print title is useless. All books need to be available in paperback as well.
5. Books may reappear on the list after four years.
6. Award winning books such as Caldecott, Newbery, ALA Notables are all excellent sources for potential list candidates.
7. Please reccomend new books to our reading lists.
